WILMA SHAW ROSEMAN
Wilma Shaw Roseman, 85, Naples, Fla., and Brandenburg, formerly of Prospect, died Nov. 21, 2010, at her residence in Brandenburg. She was born June 9, 1925, in Osage County, Okla.
She was a graduate of Spalding University School of Nursing (Sisters of Charity of Nazareth), and worked and later retired from Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was trained as an EEG Technician and worked closely with her late husband, Dr. Ephraim Roseman, in neurology. She was also a past secretary of the American Epilepsy Society.
Through her foundation, she has funded numerous research programs in medicine, scholarships for education, local charities and (closer to her heart) humane societies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ephraim Roseman; her parents, Everett and Allie Keys Shaw; and a brother, Jesse “Billy” Shaw.
Mrs. Roseman is survived by a special niece and caregiver, Linda (Lynn) Shelman and family, Brandenburg; a nephew, Buddy Shaw and five nieces, Laverne Smith, Joyce Livers, Debbie Fackler, Cathy Cornelison and Laura Smith.
Wilma’s wishes for cremation were honored and no services will be held.
