‘BUTCH’ THOMAS

Robert D. “Butch” Thomas, 67, Vine Grove, died Nov. 28, 2010, at Robley Rex V.A. Medical Center in Louisville.

Master Sgt. Thomas was a veteran of Vietnam and retired from the U. S. Army in 1989. He was a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church. Being always helpful and charitable to those in need brought him love and respect by his friends and neighbors. He demonstrated a great talent in woodwork and manual trades.

He was preceded in death by a son, Frank Joseph Thomas.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Maria Thomas, Vine Grove; two daughters, Janet M. Thomas, Cincinnati, and Christine Dostie, Vine Grove; a son, Robert David Thomas Jr., Milford, Ohio; and a brother, Calvin Clark, Niceville, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 2, from the chapel of Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff, with the Rev. David Campbell officiating.

Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with military honors.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home Dec. 1 from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Dec. 2 beginning at 9 a.m.
