LARRY DALE ABEL

Larry Dale Abel, 67, Vine Grove, died Dec. 4, 2010, at his residence.

He was retired from the United States Army, having served in Korea, Germany and Desert Storm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Lou Abel; and three brothers, Eugene, Bill and Darrell.

Mr. Abel is survived by three children, Janet Waite, Prosper, Texas; Larry Abel, Springville, Ind., and Donna Webb, Ahoskie, N.C.; nine brothers and sisters, Alice, Joy and Ralph, all of Florida, Kay, Terry, Max and David, all of Indiana, Kathy, California, and Wayne, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be handled by the Day and Carter Funeral Home of Bedford, Ind. Burial will be in the Springville West Cemetery in Springville, Ind., with military honors.

The family will hold a time of remembrance celebration Dec. 10, at the residence of Larry Abel, 265 Neff Ct., Vine Grove, beginning at 4 p.m.
