WILLIAM MICHAEL GREER

William Michael Greer, 63, died Nov. 21, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. He was a former resident of Battletown and currently lived in Goshen.

He retired from the Louisville Police Department after 28 years of service. He also worked as a commonwealth attorney officer and then retired as a Jefferson County deputy sheriff earlier this year.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Greer; mother, Mary Embry Harrison; stepfather, J.W.
Harrison; and two brothers, Carl Greer and Robert Greer.

Mr. Greer is survived by three daughters, Renae (Rob) Holfels, Georgia; Christie (Tim) Parcell, Battletown, and Kim (Alex) Hernandez, Fort Benning, Ga.; a son, Benjamin Greer, Louisville; two brothers, Paul (Mary Anne) Harrison and James (Lorie) Harrison; three sisters, Kathryn (Sam) Jones, Beverly (Fred) Oliver and Teresa (Todd) Carson; 10 grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.

A memorial service was held Nov. 27, at the FOP Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff’s Lodge 25 in Louisville.
