FAYE WHEATLEY

Faye Wheatley, 69, Irvington, died Dec. 3, 2010, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1941, in Breckinridge County, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lida Davis Harper.

She was a homemaker who loved her cats, dogs and hard work.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Wheatley; a brother, Ricky Harper; and three sisters, Betty Durbin, Barbara Simmons and Joan Dutschke.
Mrs. Wheatley is survived by two children, Kathy Horton, Irvington, and Donnie Wheatley, Louisville; two sisters, Bonnie Caringer, Irvington, and Debbie Strasburger, Caneyville; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Dec. 7, from the chapel of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Faye Wheatley Memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
