SALLIE CATHERINE DOWELL

Sallie Catherine Dowell, 95, Garrett, died Dec. 7, 2010, at her residence.

She was a member of Hill Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ida Mills Smith; her husband, Lewis Dowell; three sisters, Blanche Stith, Margaret Dowell and Hattie Pollock; a brother, Clarence Smith; a grandson, Bryan Michael Dowell; and a daughter-in-law, Carole Dowell.

Mrs. Dowell is survived by three sons, Roy Neil Dowell, Donnie (Mary Beth) Dowell, both of Ekron, and Randall (Judy) Dowell, Lexington; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 10, from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home. Burial was in Buck Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be left online at www.hagerfuneralhome.com.
