HERBERT RAY HAYNES

Herbert Ray Haynes, 78, Brandenburg, died Dec. 17, 2010, at his residence. He was born Dec. 21, 1931, the son of Herbert and Mary Alliene Murray Haynes.

He was a member of Harrison Masonic Lodge #122 F.&A. M.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, May Johnson; and a brother, Lawrence Haynes.
Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife, Arlene Haynes, Brandenburg; four children, Ray Haynes, Niceville, Fla., Kelvin (Sandy) Haynes, Bardstown, Lisa Polston, Madison Heights, Mich., and Greg (Angela) Haynes, Fayetteville, N.C.; a sister, Faye (Gene) Whelan, Flaherty; a brother, Houston (Joyce) Haynes, Guston; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec. 20, from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jay Squires officiating. Burial was at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Honorary pallbearers were David Haynes, Kristina Polston, Rebecca Haynes, Allison Haynes and Elizabeth Haynes. Active pallbearers were Phillip Haynes, Wesley Polston, Steve Wardrip, Bim Wardrip, Stephen Haynes and Morris Watts.

Masonic funeral rites were held Dec. 19.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky or to the American Diabetes Association.
