CHESTER VAL. HOBBS

Chester Val. Hobbs, 63, died Dec. 15, 2010, at his home in Elizabethtown, after a lengthy stay in Hardin Memorial Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Louisville.

He was the son of Earl and Rebecca Middleton Hobbs, Hagan, Va., and the owner of Hobbs Custom Drywall, which did work both in Hardin and Meade counties. He was a member of Hardy’s Creek Baptist Church, his home church in Hagan.

Mr. Hobbs is survived by his wife, Leona, a son, Chris; and two sisters, Betty (the Rev. Dr. Billy) Marcum, Brandenburg, and Sue (Joseph) Richie, Burlington.

A memorial service was held Dec. 17, at the Dixon-Atwood Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Dec. 18 at Hardy’s Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in the Hobbs family cemetery in Hagan.
