Smith named to Drury Dean’s List

Earning a spot on Drury University’s Dean’s List is a significant accomplishment; it means a student earned a grade point average of 3.6 or greater (on a 4-point scale) while carrying a full-time course load of 12 or more semester hours at Drury, a top 10 Midwestern university, according to US News & World Report. In the spring 2010 semester, Nancy Lee Anna Smith, Vine Grove, made the dean’s list for the evening school.

AIRMAN JOSEPH W. ROYAL

Air Force Airman Joseph W. Royal graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Airman Royal is the son of Tina Boone, Brandenburg, and Frank Royal, Jeffersonville, Ind.
He is a 2009 graduate of Meade County High School.
