Showcase your artistic talents at the Meade County Fair By Marilyn Craycroft Are you an artist or do you have a budding artist in your home? Did you know each year talented artists of our area have the opportunity to display their work at the Meade County Fair? The new addition for the Fine Arts department is located in the Home Environment building which allows artists of all ages and skill levels to showcase their talents. This new addition provides more space for displaying and better lighting for viewing the entries. In our department, professionals, adult amateurs, young adults, junior artists and budding artists can compete for prizes in their respective groups. If you draw, sculpt, paint china, create graphics on the computer, have your child’s coloring pages or school art work, take pride in your ability as a photographer or have other types of art work, please share your talents with others. Check the fair catalog, page 70, Fine Arts department, for a complete listing of categories, rules and times. The Fine Arts department is just one more way to get people involved in our Meade County Fair. Check out the outstanding art work and our new facility!
