Ray and Mildred C. Griffee will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Oct. 25, 2006, with a quiet celebration at home. They are blessed with two children, Vivian Marie Griffee Gentry, Bowling Green, and Ronald Ray Griffee, Nicholasville. They have six grandchildren, Adam A. (Catherine) Griffee, Wascilla, Ark., Amy C. Griffee (Tony) Gonzalez, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., Alice Ann Gentry (David) Zaslafsky, Brooklyn, N.Y., Agatha B. Griffee (Robby) Allen, Evansville, Ind., John Stuart (Julie) Gentry, Lancaster, and Alex Ray Griffee, Nicholasville. They also have seven great-grandchildren, Ben Griffee, Brielle Griffee and Bryan Griffee, Wascilla, Ark., Garrett Gonzalez and Gabriella Gonzalez, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., and Lydia Allen and Timothy Allen, Evansville, Ill. The Griffees love and enjoy them all when they come to see them. Mildred says they have lived a wonderful life. They have been blessed by the Lord and enjoyed their children, grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. They have had celebrations on their 25th, 40th and 50th anniversaries, but plan on this one just open to anyone who wants to drop by their home and visit. Ray is 85, and Mildred will be 84 in November, so they have slowed down. They appreciate their many friends in Meade County and acquaintances made from other states while they were camping in Florida for 28 winters. They will be spending winters in Kentucky, which will be a change.
