Greenwave football notes: team attends EKU camp, lands kicker

Dagny Knutson swims in national championships
In the senior national swimming championships in Indianapolis, Ind., Dagny Knutson (daughter of Ronda Davis Knutson, MCHS 1978) added the 200 freestyle to her list of events in which she is qualified to compete in the June 2008 Olympic trials by finishing that event well within the trials minimum time. She had already qualified for the 100-meter freestyle, the 100-meter backstroke and the 200-meter individual medley. Knutson did not swim well enough to get into any of the senior championship heats but gained invaluable experience against the highest level of competition in the United States.
Dragons place second at Bluegrass Games
The Vine Grove Dragons finished second out of nine squads in the under-12 mixed recreation red division at the Bluegrass State (Summer) Games in Lexington on July 21-22.
