County’s comprehensive plan process continues to move ahead

Refinement and revisions are continuing on the county’s proposed comprehensive plan.

And a public comment session is planned someplace in the northern portion of Meade County.

The next public forum might use an “open house” format, where participants can visit different locations and offer suggestions based on the topics.

‘Graying of Kentucky’ in focus as initial results of ‘baby boomer’ survey released

Meade County is the home of about 5,500 “baby boomers,” those between the ages of 35 and 54.

In contrast, there are about 2,500 older adults, those 60 and over, living locally.

Fire destroys 100-year-old building in Vine Grove

A fire destroyed an old building in downtown Vine Grove, Aug. 24. Built in 1905, the building had been converted to apartments where five residents lived.
