Meade County woman is first patient admitted to new Harrison County Hospital

The new Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Ind., opened to the public Feb. 21. CEO Steven L. Taylor declared the hospital officially open for patient care and greeted the first patient who arrived by ambulance from the 58-year-old hospital on Atwood Street. For over an hour hospital staff kept both hospitals open as patients were moved by ambulance every three minutes.

New auditorium ready for spring concert season

“It’s a music teacher’s dream,” said choral director Bryan Nichols of the new auditorium at Meade County High School. He was all smiles as he conducted a tour last week of the auditorium and state-of-the-art control room.
