Swimmers end season with a big splash

The meeting room at the Meade County Extension office was set up for 135 by the Swim Boosters for the Meade County High School swim team’s end-of-season banquet, and not a seat in the house looked empty. A very nice touch at each table was pictures of the team in action, taken throughout the season. Some were flattering, some were action shots, and some were Kodak moments that the swimmers would have liked to forget, but all enjoyed the funny faces and expressions captured in each moment.

Cheerleaders celebrate

On March 20, the cheerleading squad of Meade County High School and their family and friends gathered in the high school cafeteria to celebrate the past year, to honor outstanding performances and to bid farewell to their seniors.

Jared Raymer is National CastingKids runner-up

Jared Raymer, a 7th-grader at Stuart Pepper Middle School, was this year’s runner-up in a National CastingKids event held at the Bassmasters Classic Feb. 23 in South Carolina.
