Lady Waves pound Lady Eagles
Big innings and great pitching lead Meade to A 9-1 victory
With a break in the crazy weather, the Meade County Lady Wave softball team was back in action April 7 as they took on the Lady Eagles of Fort Knox. At 4-1, the Lady Waves were looking to continue their hot start to the season. Trying to add a new wrinkle to their attack, Coach Mike Harreld decided to give JV pitcher, Kirstie Maloney, her first start in varsity action against the Lady Eagles.

Jenkins and Brown two for two
On April 8, North Hardin High School hosted the North Hardin All Comers track meet. Competitors from Bardstown, Fort Knox, John Hardin, Grayson County, Meade County and host North Hardin met at the track field in Radcliff. The weather couldn’t have been more accommodating, being mild with no wind, and presented perfect conditions to run the events.

Lady Wave basketball remembers successful season
Good food and good memories were on the agenda April 8 at the Meade County High School cafeteria when the Meade County Lady Wave basketball team held their banquet for the 2007-2008 season. Parents and fans stuffed in the cafeteria as the varsity members of the Lady Wave program celebrated another successful season.

In the presence of their parents, coaches and administration, Meade County High School seniors Rob Williams and Chris Parker signed their letters of intent and committed to play soccer at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Waves struggles against Bruins

The Meade County boys’ and girls’ tennis teams were back in action April 8 to take on the Central Hardin Bruins. With warm weather in their favor, both teams came out with the fire and intensity to try to knock off the highly ranked Bruins.

MCHS dance team takes third in state competition

The Meade County High School dance team competed March 22 in Henderson County for the state dance competition and won third place for the state in the Hip Hop Division.
