Meade County Breast Cancer Coalition hosts annual tea party

On May 10, the Meade County Breast Cancer Coalition with help from the health department hosted a tea party to honor breast cancer survivors and to educate others about women’s health and wellness. Mothers, daughters, sisters and friends gathered on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to share their stories.

Profile on Longevity – Harold Aleshire

Harold Aleshire, 79, was born March 11, 1929 in the coal mine town of Ethel, W.V. His father, John N. Aleshire, worked in the coal mine and his mother Lula, raised their children and tended to the home.
