We owe it all to Mom

The Meade County Public Library recently held an essay contest, “Why My Mother Deserves a Makeover,” for Meade County’s 5th- and 6th-graders and received 182 entries. Of those, four winners were chosen with the grand prize winner and two others from David T. Wilson Elementary School.

Meade County well represented at STLP state competition

The competition for the Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) state championship was held May 6 in Rupp Arena, Lexington, with 4,500 in attendance, followed by an awards ceremony May 7. Over 300 schools and 92 districts were represented, including 153 from Meade County schools.
