AVA N. JORDAN

Ava N. Jordan has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Georgetown College. The dean’s list honors undergraduate students who completed the semester with at least 12 hours and a 3.7 GPA.

The Educational Foundation of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants (KyCPA) has awarded a total of $56,000 in scholarships to college students studying accounting on behalf of the Foundation and other benefactors, plus another $15,000 in CPA exam review grants.

Andrea Faye Hicks graduated May 10, 2008, from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She received the honor of summa cum laude with a 3.88 grade point average.

CAROLINE MATTHEWS

Caroline Ashley Matthews, 16, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Kentucky pageant to be held June 29-30 at the Hyatt Regency, Lexington. The pageant is held for girls ages 16 to 18.
