Ridin’ for the cure at Relay for Life trail ride

With humid temperatures in the mid 80s, approximately 130 riders took to the trails on the Yellowbank Game Reserve in Breckinridge County June 21-22, for the fifth annual Relay for Life poker trail ride. The fundraiser is organized by Bill Bell, Corydon, Ind., and members of the Arch Chemicals Inc. Relay for Life team, as well as many others who donate their time to make the event a success.

Local guys take top honors in Ridgid Tools video contest

In March, three guys from Brandenburg decided to enter a nationwide video contest sponsored by the Ridgid Tool Company in Elyria, Ohio. The theme of the video was to be “How I Build my Reputation with Ridgid Tools.” Darren M. Jones, Tommy Davis and Danny Roach came up with the idea of a music video that would be filmed in front of a mock construction site.

But it doesn’t have to be. When people break down the barriers between them and see each other through eyes of love instead of judgment, when there is connection and empathy, real change can take place. Barriers can be broken down. Every person can feel safe, loved and celebrated.
