Future Greenwave and Lady Wave soccer players find their kicks at soccer camp
With football camp going on alongside, the Greenwave and Lady Wave soccer camp found success in the beautiful weather last week. This year, the camp offered about one instructor for every three kids attending the camp.
Greenwave Football Camp a success
Last week, 158 kids from 1st-through 9th-grade filled the recreation field behind the Meade County Board of Education for the Greenwave Football Camp. The number of 158 made the camp one of the most well attended in the history of the football program.
Lady Wave Basketball Camp showcases young talent
Last week, approximately 80 girls, grades 1-8, filled the local gyms as the Lady Wave Basketball Camp kicked off. With a major emphasis on fun, the girls learned drills to strengthen their fundamentals and gave the Lady Wave coaching staff the opportunity to see the area’s young and impressive talent. The camp included shooting and dribbling drills, one-on-one drills, defensive drills and five-on-five scrimmaging.
