Battletown Blowout 2008

The community of Battletown celebrated the annual Battletown Blowout June 28 at Battletown Community Park. The event featured such activities as a dunking booth, rock wall, bounce houses, cake wheel, face painting, Game Krazy mobile video van, an archery shoot hosted by Brandenburg Hunting and Fishing and the professional wrestlers of the Tornado Wrestling Organization. Live music and karaoke was provided by K.T. Karaoke. There was lots of good food and the perennial favorite – funnel cake. At dusk, the crowd gathered around the baseball field to watch the awesome fireworks show presented by Melrose Pyrotechnics. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer on the Battletown Community Park Committee is encouraged to call 497-4816.
