KATIE MARIE STRANEY
Katie Marie Straney, Flaherty, graduated this spring from Elizabethtown Communty and Technical College with an associate’s degree in nursing. At 20, she was the youngest student of 17 graduating from the nursing program this semester.
Katie passed the NCLEX-RN, the licensing exam for registered nurses, on May 20. In addition to working full-time, she will continue her education this fall at Western Kentucky University working towards a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
A 2007 graduate of Meade County High School, Katie is the daughter of Kenny and Annette Straney, Flaherty, and mother of 5-month-old Jacie Marie Cain.
