Coach Harreld Region 3 Coach of the Year;
Sireno and Harreld selected to KY All-Stars

On Jun 13, at the banquet following the Kentucky East/West All-Star Game, head softball coach Mike Harreld was given the Region 3 Coach of the Year award. Coach Harreld said, “It’s an honor to get this award,” but in typical Mike Harreld humbleness he continued, “But the kids win it for you. I got this award because they had a great season.”

The award is special because it is voted upon by his fellow Region 3 coaches, and his peers recognized his and the team’s accomplishments this year. This year’s squad went 30-5, and won the District Championship and were runners-up in Region 3 to the eventual state champion, Owensboro Catholic. To say they had a great season would be a gross understatement.
