KAYLA HIGBEE
Kayla Higbee, Brandenburg, has been named a United States National Leadership and Service Award winner.
This award is a prestigious honor very few students can ever hope to attain. In fact, the academy recognizes fewer than 10 percent of all American high school students.
Kayla, who attends Meade County High School, will appear in the United States Achievement Academy’s Official Yearbook, which is published nationally.
She is the daughter of Peggy Russell and John Higbee, Brandenburg. Her grandparents are the late Mose and Irma Russell, of Brandenburg, and the late Dutch and Anna Mae Higbee, of Rock Haven.
