Shea Gossett and Christy Barr announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage at St. John Catholic Church in Brandenburg, Oct. 2, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The children of Louis and Nancy Crawford hosted a celebration on Sept. 5, to honor their parents’ 50 years of marriage. Louis and Nancy were joined by family and friends for an afternoon of socializing at their home on Cedar Flat.
Mr. and Mrs. Vanover
On Sept. 4, 2009, Ray and Fanny Vanover celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The long-time sweethearts were married in 1959, in a small ceremony, attended by their mothers. They immediately went to Brandenburg for their honeymoon, where they promptly and accidently burned their marriage license.
