Long overdue honors
Shes Tops!
Jodi Morgan, Brandenburg, proudly displays the first and third place medals she recently received from participating in the state Special Olympics competition June 5, in Richmond. The first place medal was won in the 50-meter dash and Jodi captured third in the softball throw.
Judy Stice named The Central Kentucky Artist of the Year reception was held June 6, at the Brown-Pusey House in Elizabethtown.
Sarah Smith named to CU dean’s list Campbellsville University vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Frank Cheatham, has announced the academic honors’ list for the spring 2010 semester. CASSIE EMERT Cassie Emert, 7th-grade, received state recognition from Duke University for her score on the ACT. A ceremony was held May 28, 2010, at Western Kentucky University.
Austin Lyon Hollis, a Meade County High School graduate, received a bachelor of arts degree from Transylvania University on May 29, during a commencement ceremony on the front steps of historic Old Morrison.
