Firefighters bestow awards on fellow members

Following a program of 1,100 slides, choreographed by Meade County Fire Protection District firefighter, Michael Faith Sr., members of the district sat down to recognize their own Dec. 11.
Fire Chief Larry Naser said firefighters accumulated 6,000 hours of training this past year and responded to 461 runs, as he opened the annual recognition dinner at the Farm Bureau Community Building on the Meade County fairgrounds.
