Analyzing the threat to Meade County

At the invitation of Brandenburg Police Chief Jason Amburgey, a team of security experts spent a week in Meade County assessing the community’s preparedness to deal with acts of violence or terror. Don Alwes from the Homeland Security branch of the Department of Criminal Justice Training, led the team which included Jarred Ball, Tom Wynn, Kevin Kelly, Wynn Walker, Ron Meadows and Fred Rodgers. Meade County Fiscal Court approves zoning change

Mack Farm Field Day scheduled for Sept. 1

The board of supervisors for the Meade County Conservation District held their regular monthly meeting on Aug. 22. In attendance were board members John Bruington, Jim Scott, Nathan Beavin, Henry Pike, and Jack King, as well as Meade and Breckinridge County district conservationist Calvin Bohannon, soil conservationist B.J.
