These wildlife parts were illegally dumped on Dave Smith Road just off Shumate Road in Meade County. There are dozens of rabbit hides, parts of quail and wild turkeys, snapping turtles and several bags of deer parts. While the animals may have been harvested legally, the method of disposal is criminal littering. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife law enforcement dispatch toll free at (800) 252-5378, the Meade County Sheriff’s Department at 422-4937, or any state conservation officer. The local contact is Sgt. Bob Marango at (270) 942-9171.
