Benock leads Greenwaves to 49-38 win over rival Breckinridge County

If you were to walk into the Meade County locker room after the team’s 49-38 win over Breckinridge County on Jan. 5, you would have found two simple statements written on the board on the wall that summed up the entire game: 40 REBOUNDS, JB - 20. The first obviously referred to the Greenwave’s 40-30 domination on the boards, while the second denoted Jordan Benock’s astonishing 20-rebound effort against the Fighting Tigers.

Greenwaves pick up two wins, fifth place in Sunshine Classic

On Dec. 27, 2005, the Meade County boys’ basketball team began their play in the Daytona Sunshine Classic in Daytona, Fla. In the first round of the tournament, the Greenwaves took on Monsignor Farrell High School from Staten Island, N.Y. Farrell jumped out of the gate early, taking a commanding 35-19 lead on Meade in the first half.

Greenwaves fall to Trinity in return home
