By VICKEY CARWILE
Vice President, MCES
Members of the Meade County Equine Society held their monthly meeting May 4 at the food court in Brandenburg.
Membership applications were submitted and membership fees of $25 a year were agreed on. The fees will be collected at the next meeting. A logo for the organization was also voted on and adopted. Fundraisers were discussed including a bake sale, yard sale, car wash, auction and possibly a ride and cookout at a later date. The group also discussed making a visit to the horse rescue center in Indiana to learn and observe the proper procedures included in horse rescue operation.
The next meeting of the Meade County Equine Society will be at 7 p.m. on June 1 at the food court.
