Photo submitted by Jane Slinger
SPMS Idol held their first Idol tryouts April 29. Those who turned out were nervous. They practiced in Quality Court and were then called to the music room where they each performed in front of our judges. SPMS Idol finalists are as follows: Amelia Alcone/Kourtni Ketterman, Allie Mills and Kasie Ingram (elementary); Cassie Emert, Mary Kate Powers, Mark Ingram, Kristin Peters and Jess Pollard (primary). Middle school girls: Auora Laslie, Tieenie Miller and Branna Stewart/Kalyan Stewart. Middle school boys: Chase McIntosh, Michel Caporale and J.C. Riggs. Middle school groups: Lindsey Burnett/Hanna Kimbel and The Stewart Sisters. The winner will be determined by who can raise the most money with a penny per vote. Come out May 13 from 6-8 p.m. to support Relay for Life and hear some great kids make a joyful noise in Stuart Pepper Middle School’s fight against cancer.
