Word on the street is that Brandenburg Kroger is planning a substantial expansion project in the near future. What’s been passing around is that the three businesses to the right of Kroger – Nails Galore, Rose Garden, and Classic Cleaners – will move out of their current locations, freeing up that space for Kroger to expand.

In addition, the rumor mill has offered that Kroger Pharmacy will relocate to the end of the row (the Classic Cleaners location) so that the pharmacy will be able to add a much-desired drive-through to their business. Kroger gas pumps will reportedly be installed at the former Taste Divine location next to Mr. Gatti’s Restaurant.

The real estate department of Kroger headquarters in Louisville was at this time unable to confirm or deny any of these “rumors” but stated Kroger should be prepared to issue a statement concerning the future plans for Brandenburg Kroger about a month from now and most likely after Labor Day.

As for the much-awaited Golden China Buffet on Old Ekron Road in Brandenburg, an article published in the News Enterprise several weeks ago stated that the business recently experienced some unfortunate complications with immigration. However, recent reports indicate the immigration issues have been resolved. An employee at Radcliff’s Golden China Buffet told this reporter that the Brandenburg restaurant should open within the next two or three weeks.
