City of Brandenburg receives $25,000 in transportation funds to resurface Howard Drive

Gov. Ernie Fletcher and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announced that $25,000 in KYTC bond funds have been awarded to the city of Brandenburg.

“I want to commend Gov. Fletcher for his leadership. The improvements we make to our local transportation system improve the quality of life for everyone,” said Transportation Cabinet Secretary Bill Nighbert. “This funding reflects the governor’s genuine commitment to work with local governments to build strong communities.”

The $25,000 will be used to resurface Howard Drive in Brandenburg.

In the past two years, local governments have received more additional state funding for their local road systems than at any other time in the history of the commonwealth.
