Crusade for Children and Meade County: a ‘wonderful partnership’

The WHAS Crusade for Children, established in 1954, raises money for schools, agencies and hospitals to better the lives of special needs children. Over the past 53 years, the Crusade has raised more than $118 million. Meade County’s involvement has not been quite that long, but it has been beneficial to the children of our community.


Meade County communities and water district benefit from $1 million windfall

It took the commonwealth of Kentucky a little over a year to allocate the funds, totaling $1 million dollars, but it took the Meade County Fiscal Court less than 30 minutes to spend it.

A three-year vision and beyond was presented to the Meade County Fire Protection District board of trustees during their May 21 meeting.


County awaiting state decision on solid waste grant

The application has been filed – now the waiting begins.
