Ethics commission to solicit advice from legal counsel

The Meade County Ethics Commission, during a June 28 meeting, decided to seek the advice of an attorney regarding their current ethics complaint.

John Hunt Morgan rides again during Corydon re-enactment

The pounding of hooves, the putrid smell of black powder and the archaic commands shouted amidst the din.

These sights and sounds will come alive during the annual Morgan’s Raid Civil War re-enactment, planned July 7 and 8 in downtown Corydon, Ind., and at the Hayswood Nature Reserve.


Water district awards maintenance shop bid

A bid of $239,687.63 was accepted for a new 6,500 square foot maintenance building during a June 26 special meeting of the Meade County Water District.
