Water district rate request still pending before state commission

Proposed rate increases for the Meade County Water District are still pending before the Kentucky Public Service Commission.


Fire district starts discussions on new station

Discussions on schematics for a new fire station/headquarters are expected to continue during a special called 7 p.m. Oct. 22 meeting of the Meade County Fire District board.


Pit bull euthanized; case awaiting review

A pit bull which viciously attacked and killed a chihuahua late last month has been euthanized, but Meade County Attorney Margaret Matney still hasn’t seen the paperwork.
