Muldraugh receives Area Development Funds
The Lincoln Trail Area Development District board of directors will present an Area Development Fund check to the city of Muldraugh during the Feb. 21 meeting of the board. The check, in the amount of $2,548.06, will be used by the city toward the purchase of a portable generator. The total cost of the project is $5,200. Muldraugh is to be commended for this project that will benefit the entire community.
The Area Development Fund program is administered by Commissioner Steve Robertson and the Governor’s Office for Local Development through the Lincoln Trail Area Development District. Thanks to the legislative efforts of Sen. Carroll Gibson and Rep. Jeff Greer, the appropriations for the funding of this program are approved by the Kentucky General Assembly. Funding for this capital improvement grant program comes from the Coal Severance Tax.
