Lady Waves break even
This past week, the Lady Waves looked to continue their hot streak and try to knock off some rivals from the past in North Hardin High School and Fort Knox High School. Even though they both came from the same district, both have had different routes to where they stand this season. North Hardin is ranked in the top 20 in the state and Fort Knox has only been able to manage one win for the season.
Greenwaves clinch # 1 seed
This Friday, the Greenwave looked to flex their 11th District muscle and establish themselves as the elite of the 11th District. In their way was rival Breckinridge County who was trying to rebound from an earlier loss to the Greenwave. Even though the Greenwave beat Breckinridge County, they knew that this was not a game to overlook.

Jobe sets Region 3 swimming record then breaks his record again
Just prior to the Region 3 preliminary swim meet Feb. 1, Troy Jobe said, “My goal is to set the Region 3 backstroke record.”

Toshi Judo Club awards two first-degree black belts
After nearly 10 years of rigorous practice, two students of Toshi Judo Club in Brandenburg earned the master rank in judo. Matt Kitterman and Zach Smith were promoted to first-degree black belt, or shodan, on Jan. 19. The tests were conducted at Elizabethtown Brazilian Jujitsu and Judo on Jan. 12 under Josh Johnson, first-degree black belt and Eb Kieslich, sixth-degree black belt.
