Our flag - Mission complete!

The Battletown flag began its journey in May 2004 with a ceremony at Battletown Elementary School. After traveling approximately 39,000 miles in just under four years, the Battletown flag came home for good April 17, 2008.

Superstars at David T. Wilson

Evening wear, red carpets, paparazzi and stars galore were the order of the day Friday afternoon at David T. Wilson Elementary School as they celebrated their “Superstars.”

All-county choir performs

The highlight of Music in Our Schools month was marked by the fifth annual presentation of the all-county choir performance. Eighty-five students from all seven Meade County elementary schools partcipated in the event March 27 at Brandenburg Primary School. This year’s guest conductor was Roxanne Nanney, director of the Kentucky Baptist All-State Children’s Choir and minister of music and senior adults at First Baptist Church, Brandenburg. Dawn McFarland accompanied the group for the fifth year.
