Greenwave basketball – end of an era, beginning of a new one

Four years ago, an eternity to a freshman, the blink of an eye to a senior, a group of young athletes tried out for the Meade County freshman basketball team. First impressions on the coaching staff were not so good. At one point in an early practice, they missed 17 layups in a three-minute drill which left Coach Jerry Garris shaking his head and wondering how long the next four years would seem.
