Riverport Authority still awaits property deed resolution Who owns the Riverport property? Not the Riverport Authority – yet. Riverport officials did learn Aug. 6 during their monthly meeting that although consultant Mike Flint has not heard anything from discussions, he was aware County Judge Executive Harry Craycroft and County Attorney Margaret Matney were addressing the issue.
Riverport road bid set for September Despite an expected $500,000 funding shortfall, bids for the proposed access road to the Riverport are still scheduled for a September letting. Riverport consultant Mike Flint, during the Authority’s Aug. 5 meeting, said the final documents were sent to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s procurement office for the necessary bid-letting process.
Riverport experiences modest price decrease in engineering work It’s not much, but even a $30,000 price reduction in engineering costs was a pleasant surprise for members of the Meade County Riverport Authority. Authority consultant Mike Flint, during their Aug. 5 meeting, said the project scope planned by GeoTech decreased, along with the price. The original price was $87,500.18, it was reported, with Flint adding the revised price was about $54,000.
