Greenwaves hone skills at last scrimmage of the season

The Daviess County football team traveled to Meade County Aug. 22 for their annual scrimmage against the Greenwaves.

Cross country running is a sport in which teams of runners compete to complete a course over open or rough terrain faster than other teams. The courses used at these events may include grass, mud, woodlands and water. In an area where all of these elements are abundant, the Meade County cross country team boasts one of the best girls’ teams in the state.

After finishing sixth overall in last year’s state meet – the best a girls’ team from Meade County has ever finished – Coach Larry Garner believes this is just the tip of the iceberg.
