Legal questions linger on IDA appointment Carl Austin was reappointed to the Brandenburg/Meade County Industrial Development Authority Sept. 9 by Judge Executive Harry Craycroft. Austin replaces Harry Lee Lusk on the body. But questions linger as to whether Fiscal Court needed to vote approval on the nomination. Craycroft cited Kentucky Revised Statute 154.50-326 which states if the Industrial Development Authority is established as a joint city/county endeavor, half the members shall be appointed by the mayor and half by the judge executive.
