Water district in-house project list increases slightly Residents along Stiles Road in the far western portion of Meade County are “on the list.” Members of the Meade County Water District Board approved their request for an in-house project at their Sept. 16 meeting, after three additional residents paid the necessary fees.

Sept. 14 It was ironic that my recent article on National Preparedness Month would be written just days ahead of one of the largest events to hit the commonwealth in recent years. That article focused upon three steps to preparedness; get a plan, get a kit, stay informed and an optional fourth step, get involved. In looking back at Sept. 14 and the days that followed, I ask; “Were you prepared?” I’d wager a few could say a definite, “yes!” Most others could only say only partially or not prepared at all.
