Tie a yellow ribbon

A total of 2,216 Army personnel, civilians and students gathered on Godman Army Airfield Nov. 6 to break a record. The human yellow ribbon, held to celebrate the month of the military family, was lined by soldiers and included a cast of thousands inside wearing yellow shirts and hats. Sponsors for the event were Fort Knox Federal Credit Union, Tony Brown Chevrolet, Rent-A-Center, PNC Bank, Comcast and Insight Media. The event took seven weeks from start to completion, according to Fort Knox Morale, Welfare and Recreation office staff, the event coordinators.
