Economic conditions find their way to animal adoptions
Meade County Chief Animal Control Officer Tom Brady said when the economy tanks it means residents have to make a tough decision – either feed their family or their animals. “We had one instance where a dog has been in the family for five or six years and they could just not afford to feed it anymore,” Brady said. He said the dog was well-behaved and trained, but the family had to make a choice.
