Who upset Mother Nature?
Winter weather wallops Meade County

If you wondered where winter was, look no further.

Winter weather, accompanied by sleet, freezing rain and snow, made an appearance last week, closing schools and county offices for much of the week.

County Judge Executive Harry Craycroft said the courthouse was closed Jan. 27 due to the snow and again Jan. 28 because of a power outage.

Craycroft said the courthouse opened an hour late on Jan. 29 to allow employees to get to work during daylight hours.
