Eggs, food and firefighters

In the photo at left, Mike Crawford reaches for a plastic egg carefully hidden inside the Zodiac rescue craft at the Meade County Fire Protection District headquarters station. Crawford was one of about 30 participants in an indoor Easter egg hunt at the Armory Place Road site. Due to the April 10 hail and rain showers, the hunt was moved indoors to prevent mud from being tracked into the station. Below, firefighter of the year Seth Maggard holds 11-month-old Breanna Faith to prevent her from mischief. After the hunt, all enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs and desserts to mark Easter.
